Hopefully if you see someone asking me for a video converter you can help them out by pointing them to the following post.

How to install

Simple. Unpack via rar. Install the AVS Video Converter file. The one outside the Desktop Shortcut folder, not the one inside that folder. After it has been successfully installed, do the following:

Go into the Desktop Shortcut folder and Copy the AVS Video Converter file in that folder and paste to your desktop. Remember, I said copy this file to your desktop. If there is already a AVS Video Converter file on your desktop as a result of what you've installed, it will ask you whether to replace this shortcut. Say YES! DONE! You now have full capabilities when using this software.

Advance users: do make sure you paste another of these desktop shortcuts icons in the folder where it contains the program. e.g.

Directory:

C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoConverter6

and replace that one in there too in case you may accidentally delete your desktop shortcut.

If you don't know how to use it, learn how to use it, there is no better way of knowing how to use something other than playing around with its functions. Thats how I learn how to use most things lol.

Interface

Relatively simple interface. You have all the different format options at the very top - it supports the majority of formats that can be used for DivX players - avi and mp4s, phones via 3GP, MOV for apple, WMV for WMP, FLV for online use, blu ray and dvd supported too. You have your input files where you feed all the files you wish to change format from. Than you have an output file location of where you wish to save the converted file to. You have your profile - this is just the settings of the format you wish to change to. You can alter these settings based on what you're after. Then hit the convert button when you're ready to convert. BOOM there you have it, my quick tutorial on how to convert a video with AVS Video Converter. Also note, how fast it converts a video is heavily depended on the speed of your computers cpu. This is one of the best converters you can find in the marketplace today and no Im not joking, it literally is. I have tested it out with mkv's too and I know it works so please don't come complaining to me saying it doesn't convert mkv's. The one I'm using supports far more formats than this one and have more features, also cost more, how to use it is more complicated too hence why I've introduced you all to a much more simpler kit.
